Merry & Matt’s Houdini Estate wedding was one for the books. I mean for starters these two chose to get married at the Houdini Estate! The property alone is amazing. This estate is the perfect combination of beautiful meets unexpected. Every corner you turn has breathtaking scenery mixed with a little fun. You could spend hours walking around and spotting all the different statues Houdini put in.

Okay now the getting ready suite for the guys is OUT OF THIS WORLD! It literally feels like you are in a spy movie with a secret bookcase shelf and all. I could have spent hours taking portraits of Matt here if I wanted to! Next time I shoot a wedding here I want to do some kickass portraits of the bride and groom here. Whose down?!
Matt’s reaction when he saw Merry for the first time is one of my favorites because you can see the genuine emotion and love he has for her. I always love first looks because it allows the couple to have a few moments together and soak everything up!
Before their ceremony Merry and Matt decided to have a traditional tea ceremony with their parents. It was such a beautiful moment to watch both families come together and honor Merry’s culture.
Their ceremony took place in the courtyard below the estate. Since the Houdini Estate is so big there are many locations you can choose from for your ceremony. In fact that is one of the reasons why it is such a popular venue.
Merry and Matt’s dog carried their rings down the aisle and it was one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen.
The Houdini Estate has a perfect lawn for your reception. With the big open space you really have a lot to work with and can bring any vision to life.
Sarah, from My Wedding Songbird, really took the time to make sure their day went smoothly and that everything turned out beautiful!
