This Muckenthaler Mansion Wedding in Fullerton was elegant, romantic and chic. But don’t think that’s all it was because these two and their guests know how to party! Paulina and Scott threw an amazing day and got to enjoy every second of it. They worked closely with me designing their timeline and because of that they were able to not only spend a lot of time with their friends and family, but we were also able to capture breathtaking images that really told their love story.
Paulina wore a Pronovias wedding dress and it could not have been a more perfect fit. This dress had the best of both worlds: simple and classic in the front and a party in the back. Paulina described it as her mullet dress!
Paulina and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done by Patricia and Jenna Banani, one of the top Orange County wedding hair and makeup artists.
Before putting on her dress, Paulina was able to have a few moments with her bridesmaids. They chatted about how the day would unfold and popped champagne. I love it when my couples are able to spend quality time with their friends on their wedding day, instead of feeling rushed by a tight timeline.
As Paulina got ready, Scott had a drink with his guys. They were laughing the whole time and Scott could not stop smiling. He was ready to see Paulina and say I do.
Before the first look I was able to capture this special moment. All of Scott’s groomsmen huddled around him and expressed their excitement for him. These in between moments when no one knows the camera is there are some of my favorites.
Scott was thrilled to see her to say the least. They got to express their emotions and have a few minutes alone to soak everything in.
I like to start all portraits with a quick “look at the camera and smile” portrait. Most of my couples prefer those candid looking photos, but almost 99% of my couples are so happy to have a photo like this because it is a great gift for grandparents and parents! After we grab this traditional photo I like to mix it up with different poses and prompts to get those natural candid looking photos!
Paulina’s bouquet and other wedding florals were done by Lily Roden Floral Studio. If you are looking for a orange county wedding florist I cannot recommend Lily more. She is beyond talented and really brings her couple’s vision to life. I mean how gorgeous is this loose bouquet!
Scott and his groomsmen got their navy wedding suits from Friar Tux. If you don’t want to buy your suit, Friar Tux is a great place to rent. They have so many options and are very easy to work with.
Paulina and Scott’s bridal party was so fun to work with. They were literally up for anything and were having so much fun with it!
Since Paulina and Scott did a first look we were able to do family portraits before the ceremony. By doing this you allow yourself to have more time after the ceremony and you even get to enjoy cocktail hour. If spending time with your friends and family is high on your list then I highly recommend doing a first look. Without it you have to miss cocktail hour and spend the time after the ceremony doing all the formalities while your guests get to enjoy your wedding. Personally I think you should enjoy your wedding with your guests!
The outdoor ceremony at this Muckenthaler Mansion wedding was so beautiful. They did it right at sunset so they had that perfect golden hour light. Normally during the ceremony either the bride or groom is facing the sun, but by doing it right before sunset they were able to see each other clearly and allow me to capture stunning photos.
Scott could not stop crying during the ceremony and it was so beautiful to see him emotional. Everyone kept laughing because he is not that way at all so it really took everyone by surprise!
Paulina and Scott used Weddings Royale to find their orange county wedding officiant and she was perfect. They requested a photo with her after the ceremony because she made that moment so special and unique to them.
After the ceremony we spent 15 minutes chasing the sun and captured some jaw dropping sunset portraits. You would have thought they were models!
Because they did a first look, Paulina and Scott joined cocktail hour after a few portraits. They were able to laugh with their friends and family and had the best time.
Collette’s Catering & Events put together the appetizers and meals. If you are looking for an orange county wedding caterer these are your guys because the food was outstanding!
For the reception they decided to keep it classic with white round tables and brown chiavari chairs.
The Muckenthaler Mansion has an amazing onsite coordinator. Because Jenny went the extra mile and took the time to make sure everything was perfect, the day stayed on schedule and didn’t feel rushed. So if you book your wedding at the Muckenthaler Mansion you will know you are in good hands with Jenny!
Now this guy right here is incredible! If you are looking for a wedding dj then hit up Malcolm because not only did he get the party started, but he is an amazing MC.
After toasts and cake cutting these two hit the dance floor and the party started!
Shooting Paulina and Scott’s Muckenthaler Mansion wedding was a dream come true. Because we created an amazing timeline, the day went by so seamless and they were able to enjoy their whole day with friends and family.
