Even though it rained during these Malaga Cove Engagement photos, Kelly and Marty didn’t let it affect them at all. Instead they embraced the rain, danced, and even popped champagne as the rain fell on them. This engagement session felt like it came straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. And their love story feels like one too!
Marty & Kelly’s first date was 10 years ago and they went to see Toy Story 3. You know the part (Spolier Alert) with the garbage compacter with the flames where they all hold hands?…Well during that moment Marty mustered up all his courage and grabbed Kelly’s hand. I mean how cute! Taking the first hand hold to a whole new level! After that date he tried to keep her interested by saying he had Gossip Girl at his house. Kelly and her friends were obsessed with the show, so he thought if he told her he had it on his tv that she would want to come over. Unfortunately everything didn’t go as planned and they grew up and started dating other people. But like in any good love movie their love didn’t stop there. They ended up reconnecting at a friends wedding in St. Lious years later. They knew they were meant to be together and as cheesy as it sounds from that day forward they were always together.
For the proposal Marty got all of their family and friends to come over to their apartment. He got down on one knee, looked at Kelly and said “Well this is the best you’re gunna get” lol. After laughing for awhile he told her how much he loved her and she said Yes!
Marty and Kelly decided to do their Palos Verdes engagement photos at Malaga Cove because it is where they grew up. Full circle am I right?! I cannot wait to see how this fairytale Hallmark movie ends when these two say I do.
When asked to describe their relationship these two said ” It’s always been a shit show with us, but in the best way. There’s never a dull moment”
Marty and Kelly even had to throw some ugly Christmas sweaters on and grab some photos for a Christmas card! So cute!!
